Administration

Ms. Karen Dahn began her teaching career in Meriden in 1988 when she joined the John Barry School faculty as a fifth grade teacher. During this time she served as Head Teacher, and later became the school’s Instructional Associate, a position she held for two years before becoming the Principal in 2002.

A product herself of the Meriden School System, Ms. Dahn received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Central CT. State University in 1985, a Masters Degree in School Administration in 1992, and a Sixth-year Degree in Educational Leadership in 1998.

In addition to her career Ms. Dahn also enjoys being with her family, boating, gardening, and oil painting.
